All the proof you need that Davis can dominate Terminators is in this shot. Grace snatches steel rebar from the truck bed and hurls it javelin-style at her opponent.

Her first aim was true as we can see one rebar in Luna’s chest, but the second toss narrowly misses his skull. In a nifty new trick, Luna’s liquid flesh leaves his endoskeleton to pilot the truck and travels down the rebar.

The T-1000 in T2 was a “mimetic polyalloy” that could manipulate its shape to undertake different forms…mostly stabbing weapons. The T-X in Terminator 3 was a combination of the T800 and T-1000 models, meaning it had a mimetic polyalloy atop its endoskeleton.

Luna’s terminator is similar, but his polyalloy skin can completely separate from his endoskeleton, creating twice the threat. Dubbed Rev 9, his moniker implies that he is the ninth revision in this series of killer bots and references “Revelation: Chapter 9,” which is the moment from the Bible when the fifth angel blared his trumpet announcing Lucifer’s fall from heaven and his arrival in the bottomless pit.

Your new anti-Christ is here. He yanks one of the rebars from his pal behind the driver’s wheel and returns the favor towards Grace.

Seriously, look at this game-face. Sure, the return of James Cameron, Linda Hamilton, and Arnold Schwarzenegger demand your attention, but I’m here for savage Mackenzie Davis in full beast-mode.

The rebar does not bounce off her body. Yes, she’s made of sterner stuff than the average fragile human, but she’s no Terminator. She takes a beating. She gets wounded. She must fight through the pain.
