Shot by Shot with the ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ Trailer

The sequel to John Krasinski's 2018 horror breakout pushes past its post-apocalpytic premise to spotlight a new threat — the people left behind.
A quiet place part II

The family is shown through the barrel of a gun. Yup, someone’s definitely watching them.

Everyone makes it into the building, but a shadowy figure grabs Regan and Marcus.

As Evelyn runs to help them, a stranger claps a hand over her mouth.

But it’s not just any stranger, it’s a bearded, post-apocalyptic Cillian Murphy! He puts a finger to his mouth, hushing her.

In explanation, the man slowly turns Evelyn’s head toward a nearby wall, where an alien has started to descend.

A candle illuminates the Abbotts’ faces in near-total darkness. They’re in a bunker of some sort, where Murphy’s character is hiding. Little is known about who the Peaky Blinders star is playing, but the man at least has enough decency to give the lone family shelter.

“I don’t know why you came all the way up here,” he says. “There’s nothing left.”

Nearby, the baby coos. He’s lying in a suitcase, with what appears to be a face mask covering his mouth — which will possibly fill with a substance that will drug him unconscious if he makes noise that endangers the others. At least give the kid a name if he has to grow up during the apocalypse!
