Watch: ‘Y: The Last Man Rising’ is a Fan Film Full of Potential

Why Watch? From its Fight Club-invoking opening credits to its strong fighting sequences, it’s great to see that someone has finally put the brilliant “Y: The Last Man” into motion picture form even if just as a labor of love.

Some of it is a definitely amateur level, especially the camera work, but it’s a lot of fun, and it marks the kind of story and character potential that a property like this might have. Imagine this with a giant budget and pros behind it. Or better yet, as an HBO miniseries with all the trimmings.

What will it cost? Only 17 minutes.
