SFotD: ‘Terraform’ Transforms Mars with a Science Fiction Fairytale

Why Watch? I wonder what the Curiosity Rover thinks of all of this. After all, the team behind Terraform has delivered a heady mix of well-crafted CGI and maybe the most excitingly scored construction sequence ever put to film to tell the tale of mankind rebuilding Mars in its own image.

But it’s really the framing device that rings truest here. Instead of flashing the expected sci-fi tropes, the film opens with a woman reading a storybook to her child – relaying a story that seems more like legend than test tube dream.

More experimental than truly narrative, it’s stellar work from a group of young filmmakers that we all need to keep an eye on.

What will it cost you? Only 6 minutes.
