Hollywood wants to give you more of what you already love. Here are updates on a number of sequels we’ve gotten in the last couple days:

Goon – The cult 2011 hockey comedy is finally moving forward on a long-promised follow-up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jay Baruchel, who co-starred, co-wrote and produced the original is now this time is co-starring, co-writing (with Jesse Chabot) and making his directorial debut. Sean William Scott will be back in the lead of the sequel, which will be titled Goon: Last of the Enforcers and deal with a pro lockout.

Sony Pictures Entertainment

Underworld — The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that Kate Beckinsale will return for the fifth Underworld movie. This installment of the vampires and werewolves franchise, titled Underworld: The Next Generation on IMDb, will be directed by Anna Foerster, who has done second unit work and cinematography for Roland Emmerich movies and directed some TV. Theo James will also be back to reprise his brief role in Underworld: Awakening.

Shanghai Noon — Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan will re-team for Shanghai Dawn, according to The Tracking Board. This will be the second sequel to the 2000 Western comedy. The last installment was Shanghai Knights in 2003. It could be a while still before this one arrives, as there doesn’t seem to be a script yet.

Jurassic Park — With the third sequel, Jurassic World, arriving in theaters soon, there’s a new viral video showing why the new park is much safer than the attempt depicted in Jurassic Park more than 20 years ago. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — The sequel to last year’s reboot has cast Gary Anthony Williams in the part of Bebop, the punk who is turned into a mutant pig. Williams is best known for his voice work, including the role of Uncle Ruckus on The Boondocks. Now all he needs is an actor to play his partner in crime, Rocksteady.

Universal Pictures

Tremors — While not exactly news of any official development, Kevin Bacon told a UK paper that he wants to return to this horror comedy franchise now that it’s 25 years later. There have already been three sequels that he skipped out on, and another he’s not in arrives this fall.

Fight Club — Both a prequel and a sequel to Chuck Palahniuk’s novel are arriving in stores on May 26th. The latter is in comic book form written by Palahniuk and involves a reawakened Tyler Durden kidnapping the son of Sebastian (Edward Norton’s character in the movie, renamed) and Marla. The former is a short story titled “Expedition” in Palahniuk’s new collection “Make Something Up: Stories You Can’t Unread” and features Durden in a small but significant role.
