The next sequence of shots shows the cartel members falling right into Rambo’s trap.
There seems to be some kind of tunnel network that he has rigged to explode. This appears to lean further away from the idea that this sequence takes place at his father’s farm unless his father had some kind of Prohibition-style tunnels under the property. It seems more likely that he is at some place that may have doubled as a drug-smuggling or storage facility.
Probably the coolest sequence in this trailer is the very Home Alone-style booby trap that the front door is rigged with. Not only did the intruder never stand a chance, but that trap also has a phenomenal aim.
Rambo slams a well-dressed man down, holding him by the throat. It’s hard to tell from this brief shot whether this is Peris-Mencheta again, but the facial hair matches.
They seem to have sent a small army after him, but it’s not the first time he’s faced such insurmountable odds.
This is probably the most well-prepared Rambo has been in any installment of the franchise. He certainly doesn’t seem to be lacking for firepower.
