A rare horror sequel that tries to exist in multiple genres, MC 2 is astounding for its stunt work, its revolving door of cult character actors, and the Godfather 2-like way it expands and fleshes out characters from the first movie. Plus, we explain how one unfortunate piece of recasting kept Maniac Cop 2 from crossing over with William Lustig’s other cult masterpiece Maniac.
