Isabel Lucas Set to Headline Sexual Thriller ‘Careful What You Wish For’

Elizabeth Allen isn’t known for thrillers – unless you were digging your nails into the armrest during Aquamarine – but she’s on deck to direct Careful What You Wish For, the story of a high school student doing some extra-circular oral exams with a young married woman and the crime that shocks his sleepy little community.

According to the production partners, they’ve gotten their seductress. Isabel Lucas (Transformers 2) will be starring in the movie which aims for an early 2013 shoot.

The skin-deep description suits Lucas because she hasn’t been able to show much beyond being overtly sexy. She has a diverse project list coming up (from Red Dawn to Malick’s Knight of Cups) and with any luck, this film will be a chance for her to reveal some character talent other than her looks. Thus, it’ll be a test for two creative women – Allen with a new genre and Lucas with a greater amount of screentime to show off her depth in what sounds like a slightly twisty flick.
