VANISHING POINT (1971)
Double Feature With: FAST FIVE
The Pitch: There are tons of car flicks to pair with Fast Five, but only one of them features the sheriff from Blazing Saddles running interference for a car delivery man rocketing a gorgeous 1970 Dodge Challenger from Colorado to San Francisco in under 15 hours. According to Google Maps, that should take 19 hours, and the process of shaving off four is where all the fantastic comedy and action comes from. This is a classic car chase film that should raise even The Rock’s eyebrow.

PRETTY IN PINK (1986)
Double Feature With: PROM
The Pitch: A no-brainer here, but the same nostalgia that Prom seeks to create exists for teens of the 80s (and all eras) in Pretty in Pink). Hughes might be more angsty than glossy, but at the very least, watching them back-to-back becomes a social experiment about what high school experiences change and which ones are truly universal. You’ll also get to relive your own teen dance years and the time you borrowed that girl’s panties so you could hoist them high in the boys’ bathroom.

13 ASSASSINS (2011)
Double Feature With: 13 ASSASSINS
The Pitch: This movie is so damned incredible that you’ll need to see it twice. Go ahead and snag another ticket.
If you’re looking for an honest-to-Godzilla double feature, test it out with either Harakiri or anything from Kurosawa.
