Watching Game of Thrones at The Next Level

Leslie Jones shows us where the real watch party is.

In my house, we have rules for Sunday night Game of Thrones watch parties. We follow the rules of the Alamo Drafthouse: no cell phone lights, no talking unless audience participation is requested, and no admittance for late arrivals.

For SNL and Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones, we’d break all the rules. In this video from Late Night with Seth Meyers, Thrones superfan Seth Meyers waits for his friend Leslie so that they can share in “The Battle of the Bastards” together. This is truly watching Game of Thrones at the next level:

In addition to an open invite for Leslie Jones, my housemates and I like to hold a potluck every week. It usually involves grilling the meats of Texas or topping take-and-bake pizzas from Whole Foods with all kinds of delicious ingredients. For the finale, we’re planning something a little extra – possibly some recipes from A Feast of Ice and Fire, the official cookbook companion to George R.R. Martin’s books.

What do your Game of Thrones watch parties look like? Drop into the Responses below and let us know.
