Watch: ‘Fifteen Digits’ Is a Crime Set Up That Only Comes Around Once a Lifetime

Why Watch? In order to help sell his novel, author Nick Santora became a director and created this short. Of course it helps that he’s a television and film writer with connections to a lot of talented people, but it’s a fascinating new method where the literary and cinematic worlds collide.

Beyond being a curiosity, the film itself (an excerpt of his book brought to life) is damned good. Jimmi Simpson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) is excellent with his droopy-eyed drama – offering the heist of a lifetime to a guy that works in the bowels of a law firm (Gino Anthony Pesi). He may be low on the totem pole, but he’s got access to a lot of potentially pricey information.

I spoke with Santora about the short and his writing career – a conversation you can listen in on here.

What will it cost? Only 7 minutes.
