Video Interview: Evan Goldberg Talks Gondry and ‘The Green Hornet’

The Green Hornet isn’t getting the buzz it deserves. It’s a Michel Gondry superhero film – how does that not draw excitement? Or how about the fact it’s written by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen? They both share writing credits for Pineapple Express and Superbad which are, arguably, the best Apatow produced features. It’s an odd combination for sure, but at least it sounds and looks different than most superhero films currently in the pipeline.

My main concern for The Green Hornet is whether or not we’ll see Gondry’s oddball nature in there. Gondry’s style isn’t exactly what one would consider “mainstream,” but from what Goldberg said, it’ll have the Gondry touch we all love.

Here’s what Goldberg had to say about The Green Hornet:

The Green Hornet hits theaters on January 14th, 2011.
