In this scene, the Mandalorian gets ready to draw his pistol. His target is blurred out, but he might not be a threat to the bounty hunter. Is the fuzzy character the same person we saw walking across the desert earlier on?
We don’t know much about Giancarlo Esposito‘s mystery character, but here we see him leading what appears to be Empire soldiers. That said, it’s possible that he’s maybe gone rogue with a band of Stormtroopers. As noted by Screen Rant, the actor revealed that his character isn’t a clear-cut hero or villain.
Here’s a cool shot of the Mandalorian, who appears to be either confronting or finding common ground with Esposito’s character.
This scene is significant as it’s the closest glimpse we get of the Mandalorian’s face.
The Mandalorian doesn’t work alone. In this scene, he enters an establishment with IG-88, a rogue assassin droid who has our man’s back whenever a perilous situation arises that calls for an extra pair of hands.
Cut to our hero and his droid accomplice taking the fight to some bad guys. This is exciting, as this particular robot looks like he’ll play more of a vital role in the story than providing comic relief.
