As always, it’s good to see the Millennium Falcon gearing up for a scrap along with what looks like every ship ever seen before in the franchise.
Here, the gang is together on the Millenium Falcon and in good spirits.

A small alien is working on C-3PO’s brain circuitry. While it isn’t clear what is happening here, the tone of the scene makes it seem like C-3PO is on the verge of losing something — his life or maybe his memories?
In Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lando’s droid, L3-37, gets wired into the Millenium Falcon‘s main computer, so there is a chance that C-3PO might be sacrificed for a purpose like that. However, the most likely answer is that they need to hack into C-3PO’s brain to access memories that were wiped at the end of the prequel trilogy. He might have some information stored in his mind about Anakin, the Emperor, or the Jedi Order that could help them to destroy the Emperor.
C-3POs eyes are still gold in this shot; whatever they are doing here may be the cause of the red eyes that he has in previous trailers for The Rise of Skywalker.
Poe asks why C-3PO is staring blankly at them, he says that he is taking “one last look, Sir. At my friends.” The droid only met most of this group part way through the last film, so unless there is a significant time jump between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, C-3PO is probably not referring to Rey, Finn, and Poe. He looks down and pats R2-D2 on the head.
