Snyder Announces He’ll ‘Sucker Punch’ Us in IMAX March 2011

From what I understand, the entire point of a sucker punch is that you don’t know it’s coming. That would have made for a ballsy, yet horribly ineffective ad campaign for Zack Snyder’s latest, though, which is why I’m glad they are giving us almost a year to put up our dukes.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, we’ll need to defend ourself (In IMAX) from the flick on March 25th, 2011 alongside its regular release date.

As of now, the date is fairly wide open save for (possibly) a Sasha Grey-starring horror flick, so that should give Snyder a lot of room to come out swinging.

I realize that I’ve used a lot of lame fighting references, but the truth is that the warning is a real one. By March 2011, the price for an IMAX 3D film should be close to $413. Hopefully, Carla Gugino and a cast of young actresses diving into an alternate reality with machine guns is worth it.

Better get that third job.
