‘Givertaker’ Offers The Two Things That Make The Season: Ancient Evil and Goths

By  · Published on October 6th, 2017

October means witches.

Written by Peter S. Hall and directed by Paul Gandersman, Givertaker is primo witchy content for the early days of the spookiest month. After having its world premiere at last year’s Fantastic Fest, Givertaker has taken its blend of modernity and retro (think The Craft) stylings to further projects under its creatives. But really, what more do you need besides nine minutes of proof to never mess with the occult?

Featuring some great actresses and tight, scary effects in the kind of intimate context developed over entire high school movies, this short is a treat for anyone weaned on goth or neo-goth filmmaking.
