SFotD: ‘The Last Airbander’ is a Celebration of Playing Without Instruments

By  · Published on January 18th, 2013

Why Watch? If 2006’s Air Guitar Nation was a huge party for people who own picks but no axes, this short film from Phil McLean is the opposite – a mockumentary sending the idea of pantomiming the jam with a series of talking heads and punchlines.

It’s a nice distraction, but it’s also consistently funny and finds silly ways to raise the stakes leading to a competition that doesn’t even require a montage to win.

The real champion? Anyone who can teach us that sweet air cowbell maneuver.

What will it cost? Only 8 minutes.
