Read 19 Screenplays Vying for This Year’s Oscar Attention

It’s time to put yourself in the shoes of the Academy voters. All of them. Thousands and thousands of shoes. When you’re done, head over to Rope of Silicon where Brad Brevet has amassed (and will continue to amass) a group of scripts that are being pushed by the studios to get Oscar attention. It’s a broad array, from heady work like Lincoln and Amour to ligher fare like Ted and The Lorax.

Which gives me a great idea for a team-up sequel starring Ted and The Lorax.

The collection is an excellent opportunity to see work from Wes Anderson & Roman Coppola, Michael Haneke, and many others in its unfilmed form – naked on the page after so many rounds of notes and polishing. At the very least, you’ll be able to talk competently at your Oscar-watching party. People still have those right?
