The Punisher will wreak havoc on Netflix this November to avenge his family with plenty of artillery.
Anticipation is high would be an understatement to how excited we are about the exploits of The Punisher. It didn’t take long for Netflix to be enraptured with Jon Bernthal’s take on the vigilante. Even before Daredevil season 2 premiered, they knew they wanted to see a whole season of The Punisher. That vision is finally coming to our screens this November.
This is the longest look yet at what we can expect from the series. The trailer completes the entire setup for the series. Working in the military, Frank Castle is asked to do things no soldier should have to do. After being used and tossed aside from the very government he gave his life to, they decide they have to kill everyone involved with the dangerous missions Castle had to undertake. This also means killing Castle’s family.
Marvel has given something for The Punisher to exact his revenge upon and that is the government that killed his family and left him for dead. This trailer doesn’t show anyone specific that he is trying to take down, just anyone that stands in the way of his revenge. It also gives us a good idea of some of the supporting characters we can expect to see. There’s a crossover with Daredevil‘s Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) who will apparently help him on his dangerous mission. Also, there is the introduction of his handler, Microchip, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls).
After so much teasing with the release date, it is exciting to see that The Punisher is being released on Netflix November 17th. Interestingly, that is also the date for DC’s Justice League movie. A coincidence or intentional sabotage? Regardless we can’t wait to see Frank Castle get his revenge and it looks like The Punisher has come to play.
