Lost: The Final Season — ‘Recon’ Video Blog and Review

By  · Published on March 17th, 2010

We just came off of two stellar episodes in a row, but “Recon” is a bit dull even judged against the not-so-mind-blowing episodes of the series. The main plot finds Sawyer making his own way by doing Locke’s bidding and checking out the second island to find out what Locke already seems to know – that Widmore and his doughy mercenaries are there lying in wait.

On the side plot side, Kate continues to not have a story, but manages to get attacked by Claire. The two make up in After School Special style.

Plus, Bizarro World Sawyer is a police officer who is haunted by the same things that Normal World Criminal Sawyer was.

Still, there were some solid moments, and we found out that the Smoke Monster had a troubled childhood at the hand’s of an insane Mommy Monster.

Pour yourself a cold one and check out our in-depth discussion of the life and death themes of this week’s episode of Lost.
