‘Liberal Arts’ Trailer Doesn’t Know What the Hell It’s Doing With Elizabeth Olsen

In Liberal Arts, Josh Radnor plays a 35-year-old man who returns to his alma mater and meets a 19-year-old (Elizabeth Olsen) that completely floats his boat. They struggle through a fiery, instant connection in order to come to grips with their own personal hang ups.

And that’s how he met your mother.

The Sundance film – which was also written and directed by Radnor – now has a trailer that’s not nearly as twee as an indie romance should be. It’s close, but it’s toned down compared to its brethren, and it’s tough to beat Olsen being cool and advanced:

This trailer doesn’t have nearly enough Allison Janney.

Liberal Arts is in select theaters September 14th.
