How far would you go for a sugary haul?

Treaters is a Goosebumps-style horror short that follows in the grand tradition of being…maybe TOO scary for kids? A candy heist gone wrong with a masked stranger, this is fun tension with the expected payoffs done well and with all the right homages.

Director Peter Stanley-Ward achieves the near-impossible with a gaggle of child actors, making them the perfect vessels for foolishness, debauchery, and innocence all at the same time. Some genuine tension and goofy gruesomeness balance well with the shadows of the film.

Fans of the Leprechaun series or similarly low-budget horror will find lots to love in this silly, spooky Halloween treat.
