‘I Sell The Dead’ Trailer Needs More Corpses

If you ever felt there was a need to extend the Bring Out Your Dead scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, it looks like writer/director Glenn McQuaid is delivering. I Sell the Dead is a horror comedy which recounts the exploits of a grave robber confessing to a priest on the eve of his execution. According to the official synopsis, Arthur Blake (Dominic Monaghan) tells his story growing up in the trade, joining forces with the master ghoul Willie Grimes (Larry Fessenden), and, you know, fighting off the not-quite-dead monsters that go bump in the graveyard.

According to the trailer, it looks awesome. And hilarious:

There’s not a lot of dialog, but I imagine the movie will have a lot of dry conversations. However, the story sounds really intriguing, and a lot of the adventure could easily be played for laughs. And yes, that was Ron Perlman as the priest.

This looks like it has a ton of potential – maybe as a darker, more zombie-fied version of The Brothers Grimm. Either way, put a kid eating a rabbit in a trailer, and I’m sold.

What do you think?
