Hilary Duff To Reimagine ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ For Big Screen

Remember all of those times you get pissed about casting in a semi-remake? Now is another one of those times.

Yes, you read that right.

To be fair, The Story Of Bonnie And Clyde is not technically a remake of the classic Warren Beatty/Faye Dunaway film, but comparisons are unavoidable. Per Variety, writer/director Tonya Holly’s film is “a new adaptation” of the story behind Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow’s romance, crime spree, and death… so it’s not exactly straying far from the original, but how could it? As you can see from the photo above, this will be Duff’s second time emulating Dunaway’s iconic role. Kevin Zegers (Dawn of the Dead, Zoom) will star as Clyde.

There’s really nothing else to say about this is there?
