Gemma Arterton and Her ‘Tamara Drewe’ Short Shorts

Gemma Arterton in Tamara Drewe

One of the few characters in the recent Clash of the Titans remake that was interesting beyond their ability to be creatively killed by mythical creatures was Io, played by Gemma Arterton. The former oiled-up Bond girl proved herself, once again, to be an actor worth watching. She also has this thing – wherein she is… um, gorgeous.

It’s that magnetic quality – both personality and shapely based – that has drawn us to the first image from her upcoming film Tamara Drewe. Directed by Stephen Frears (High Fidelity, The Queen), Tamara Drewe tells the story of a sexy flirt who returns to her small country village, stirring up dark passions among the locals. It’s based on an acclaimed graphic novel by Posy Simmons, which was based on a collection of comic strips first published in the U.K. newspaper The Guardian.

See, another comic book movie. Only this time, it’s all about the sexy lady seen above turning the lives of men in her small upside down. Not a bad premise, if you ask me. Now if only we could get them working on that Questionable Content movie…
