Gary Coleman Dead at 42

In the early 80s, Gary Coleman showed up in “Silver Spoons” as the sarcastic Arnold Jackson – the character that he’d become famous for on “Diff’rent Strokes.” Since then, he’s become a strange sort of cultural touchstone, someone who everyone knows, a presence that seemed to charm his way into audience’s hearts.

Unfortunately, Coleman passed away after an accident in his home according to CNN.

Normally, we’d celebrate by discussing our favorite movies, but Coleman rarely found himself on the big screen, and I vowed never to speak of Shafted! again. Therefore, I think it’s fitting that we pay our respects by remembering an actor who brought a lot of joy to millions on the small screen in a variety of roles.

He will be missed.
