‘Fright Night 2’ Trailer Licks Blood Off Your Sword

By  · Published on August 20th, 2013

The team behind Fright Night 2: New Blood is trying extremely hard to make sex sell for them, probably because you had no idea that there was a sequel to the remake of Fright Night. But even if you didn’t, you probably won’t be surprised that it’s going DTV on October 1st.

Craig Gillespie’s flick was one of the few remakes of 2011 to even make its budget back and was a lot more fun than its reboot stigma offered, but it looks like they’ve gone with the tried-and-true plot with different ingredients. The most notable is giving Jerry a sex change.

Jaime Murray is the vampire this time around, and for some reason, they’re all named Jerry and Charlie Brewster just keeps finding them among the humans. Probably because he’s still a peeping tom. And because when you’re turned into a bloodsucker you legally have to change your first name.
