Foxx Might Join Willis for ‘Kane & Lynch’

Well, folks, your hopes of seeing Tracy Morgan team up with Willis again are about to be dashed to bits. It looks like Jamie Foxx might close a deal to play Kane in the video game adaptation of Kane & Lynch.

According to Variety, the Oscar winner is in talks, and the production will begin rolling in the Fall.

The last we’d heard, Billy Bob Thornton was rumored to be in talks for the role of the maniac killer, so Foxx might not be an improvement per se, but it’s definitely a different direction. Scratch that. It’s definitely an improvement.

Plus, I’d love to see Foxx go crazy.

As previously reported, newcomer Kyle Ward has written the script, but seasoned stunt coordinator and assistant director Simon Crane is behind the wheel for his first film as director.

We all know that video games have a terrible track record as films, but this one has the added bonus of 1) not having a lot of expectations going into it and b) being born from a formula straight out of movies.

Two guys team up to save the world and the women.

On a heavier note, Kane is a white man in the game, so I assume the same people who are always up in arms about races being changed for films will be protesting this choice any day now. Right? Right?

What do you think of Willis and Foxx together?
