But it is the confirmation we’ve been longing for…
The Unified Theory that all Pixar movies exist in the same universe and are in subtle ways connected has been floating around for years now, and holds a place as one of the most – if not the most – revered and believable fan theories in all of pop culture. But it might not be a theory anymore, as for the first time ever Disney weighed in on the subject with a little video that – gasp! – seems to verify things.
Essentially a montage of Easter Eggs, the video reveals instances of overlap between all the Pixar films, including the titular Good Dinosaur showing up in Monsters University, those same monsters showing up in Brave, and the Brave characters in the background of Cars 2 (which technically came out the year before Brave).
While there’s no actual verbal or otherwise definitive confirmation from the Mouse House that this video is in fact proof of the Pixar Theory, it certainly doesn’t dissuade any true believers and in fact is likely to convert more than a few new proponents.
