New ‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer Introduces Cable, Teases X-Force

There's a lot more to this new 'Deadpool 2' teaser than just Cable being a badass.
Deadpool Cable

Back in November of last year, Fox released its first teaser for the upcoming Deadpool sequel. It was a fun little ditty that put Wade Wilson in disguise as Bob Ross, then showed off a montage of clips from the actual film. That seems to be the template for marketing this particular film and for this particular character, it works nicely.

Today, another Deadpool 2 tease is upon us. This time the entire gag is centered around introducing Cable, Josh Brolin’s time-traveling half-cyborg mercenary who we’re all excited to meet in the sequel. Let’s have a look:

There’s a nice little CGI joke in there (which many believe to be a shot at Justice League‘s Mustachegate). There’s a great sequence of Cable mowing down a group of (what we can assume to be) evil soldiers. And yes, another montage. Inside said montage is perhaps the most interesting shot of all: a brief glimpse at what appears to be the X-Force, the militant superhero team that Fox would like to have star in an upcoming movie. We see Deadpool leading the way, Zazie Beetz as Domino to his right, and what appears to be Terry Crews to his left. The best we can speculate is that Crews is either playing George Washington Bridge or Garrison Kane, but nothing can be confirmed just yet.

Here’s a full shot of the team:

The two (possibly three) figures in the background aren’t forward enough to really see what’s going on. This could very well be our first look at X-Force, but it could also be a look at Cable’s pre-X-Force squad, The Six Pack. Either way, it’s fun to have Deadpool sharing his spotlight with some new faces.
