C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud Is Crawling Onto Blu-ray

Vestron Video brings the monstrous sequel to HD for the first time this November!

Lionsgate’s long-awaited foray into the boutique genre begins next week with the release of two films on jam-packed, beautifully restored Blu-rays under their new Vestron Video Collector’s Series. Both Chopping Mall and Blood Diner are releases guaranteed to make horror fans happy, and the good times will continue with future releases including Waxwork, Return of the Living Dead 3, and others.

One of those others? The bloody, goofy sequel that everyone’s forgotten, C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud.

The film follows three friends snooping where they don’t belong who come across something they were never meant to see – a half dead, half alive, and all hungry humanoid looking for human flesh. With the whole town in danger everyone is left either running from the creature or trying to catch him. Bud the CHUD meanwhile is just looking for his next meal.

The official announcement is here along with the brand new cover art.

“ The Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers (C.H.U.Ds) return with a vengeance in high definition when the Vestron Video Collector’s Series resurrects C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud in limited edition Blu-ray™ on November 22 from Lionsgate. In the outrageous sequel to C.H.U.D., the half-dead decomposing humanoids, led by the suave and charming Bud, must be eliminated to halt the spreading plague in this classic horror satire. The C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud Blu-ray includes all-new special features, including an audio commentary with Director David Irving and interviews with Actor Gerrit Graham, Actress Tricia Leigh Fisher, and Special Effects Artist Allan Apone, and will be available for the suggested retail price of $34.97.
