Critics saw this movie a year ago in Toronto. Now it’s finally getting a release.

After premiering at TIFF in 2016, there hasn’t been much word from Open Road about All I See Is You. Directed by Marc Forster (World War Z, Quantum of Solace), All I See Is You stars Blake Lively and Jason Clarke in a relationship of convenience. There’s a common phrase that seems painfully obvious to this movie, “Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true.”

The story follows a blind woman (Lively) and her husband (Clarke), who share a happy life together. She trusts him to be her guide through many of life’s challenges and he provides for her. That all changes when the woman receives a corneal transplant and is able to see the world for what it is. She wants to explore and experience a life she has never seen before. Meanwhile, her husband is possessive and believes he is the only thing that can make her happy.

The movie has been sitting on the shelf for a while considering it first premiered in Toronto last September. Open Road originally hoped that movie would be an August release, but instead kept it until late October. This might be because critics weren’t so hot on the film, so there isn’t much of a play here except an intriguing thriller starring Blake Lively. That meant massive success for a film like The Shallows, but that was more because of the shark than Lively.

All I See Is You co-stars Yvonne Strahovski, Danny Huston, Ahna O’Reilly and Wes Chatham. Open Road will release the film October 27.
