The Los Angeles Times website has a blog entitled Everyday Hero, which tracks “handpicked headliens from across the fanboy universe.” And despite the fact that this writer apparently doesn’t know how to spell “headlines,” he stumbles across some useful tidbits worth sharing.
Apparently the Times writer was at lunch in L.A. and heard a certain distinctive laugh. Though he did not approach Seth Rogen about the status of Green Hornet, he did hear an interesting news item from two sources. Allegedly, Adam Sandler will make an appearance in Green Hornet as a well-known superhero (provided this movie ever gets made).
Adam Sandler as a superhero? The Times writer would not disclose which superhero for fear that it would be a spoiler, so it’s obviously someone we would know. After doing a little research I found out that the Green Hornet and Kato made more than one cameo in Adam West’s 1960’s “Batman” series. They even fought a bit.
So what do you think? Could Adam Sandler be a cheesy Batman? Would Warner Bros. even allow that? Will the Green Hornet ever get f*cking made?!
Tune in tomorrow and the next day to find out. Same Reject time; same Reject website!
