We then see Roy flying through outer space. Will he survive the fall? As stunning as these shots are, they’re both quite reminiscent of this Darren Styles music video.
Roy wakes up in a hospital bed only to find out that “it’s crazy out there.” His wife informs him that there’s fires and plane crashes everywhere, and that the media is calling the mysterious catastrophe “The Surge.” The report on TV also shows us that this event has effected the entire planet and caused a large death toll.
As it turns out, Roy has a major rank in his field. In this scene, he is questioned about the “highly classified” Lima Project.
