Aaron Paul Couldn’t Be Happier With The ‘Breaking Bad’ Ending

He’s not saying anything about how it’s all going to go down – nor would we want him to – but star Aaron Paul is talking about the emotions of knowing just what happens in the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad. The rest of us will have to wait until August 11 to begin our final journey with Walt, Jessie and all the people they’ve dragged into their mess, but with shooting done and Aaron Paul moving on to other projects, he’s having to keep the secrets. As he explained to a group of journalists, including yours truly, he knows that while plenty of people have asked about the end, no one really wants to know.

Here’s what Paul had to say when asked, “What is it like for you knowing the end of a show that all of us love? Is it weird walking around knowing all the secrets and not being able to say anything?” by Steve Weintraub of Collider:

“It’s great. I don’t have a problem not telling people because I don’t want to ruin it for anybody. Everyone asks me, but they don’t really want to know, and I know that. It’s not that big of a deal. Before I read the final eight episodes, the final eight hours of the show, I was thinking to myself, ‘This is so tragic. I can’t believe this show is ending.’ I didn’t want it to end. But after knowing how the final eight hours play out, I couldn’t be happier with the way that it ended. Hopefully, you all agree, and I feel pretty confident you will agree.”
