20th Century Fox Hints at Planning an ‘X-Force’ Movie

Within the next 10 months, the X-Men franchise will expand with two new movies: The Wolverine, opening on July 26, and the long-awaited X-Men: Days of Future Past, set to premiere May 23, 2014. But it looks like 20th Century Fox is hoping to continue their success with the superhero game; the studio has just registered the domain name X-ForceMovie.com. So when can we expect the inevitable X-Force movie?

Though there is no official confirmation from Fox about seeing X-Force on the big screen yet, it’s clear that there is intent to make it happen. X-Force creator Rob Leifeld stated on Twitter that he has “known since March” about a film adaptation, but is under the impression that the film is still in the planning stages.

X-Force was created in the early 90s as a more “aggressive” and “militant” offshoot of the X-Men. Characters included classics like Deadpool, Cable, Cannonball and Domino, but later added Wolverine, Psylocke, Sunspot and Colossus. Start your casting speculations now.
