Today begins a week long TV feature on FSR, as this week is officially premiere week for all major networks. So we’re here to tell all the good stuff premiering (both new and returning), or in some cases what has already begun. So get your DVR remote ready because this is the first of six all new FSR WATCH LISTs.

The first night on our list is Sunday. Sunday is notorious for being both a haven of creation, and a pit of downfall for many TV series. So let’s begin…

Dexter (Showtime) Airs Sundays 9pm, Premieres September 26th

Everyone’s favorite serial killer returns after the bombshell left by the now deceased Trinity Killer last season. The big question is; will Dexter be able to cope after the loss of his better half? Or will his obvious underlying rage be his downfall? As the trailer suggests, he may have a new cop on his tail courtesy of the now very suspicious Quinn. Oh, and Peter “Robocop” Weller will be stopping by.

Boardwalk Empire (HBO) Airs Sundays 9pm, Premieres September 19th

Hollywood all-star Martin Scorsese is dropping a huge gamble in the lap of HBO this season with the brand new series Boardwalk Empire. Set during the days of prohibition in Atlantic City, the show follows the tale of “Nucky” Thompson played by the always awesome, Steve Buscemi. We’ll get to follow him through life in the 20’s when alcohol was as illegal as heroin. The show seems to be in the vein of Mad Men and it looks like one you’re not gonna want to miss.

The Simpsons (FOX) Airs Sundays 8pm, Premieres September 26th

Everyone’s favorite animated family returns for another record setting twenty second season. The premiere focuses on… Oh, who cares. It’s The Simpsons. They may do some wrong from time to time, but they do a nice amount of right as well.

The Cleveland Show (FOX) Airs Sundays 8:30pm, Premieres September 26th

I’ve actually never seen an episode of The Cleveland Show, simply because I’m one of the oh, so rare Family Guy haters. Not so much hater as much as, I don’t care for MacFarlane humor. But fans of MacFarlane and his cast of characters are more than encouraged to tune in.

Family Guy (FOX) Airs Sundays 9pm, Premieres September 26th

As I stated before, I don’t like Family Guy. But like The Cleveland Show, Family Guy’s got a lot of love out there. And nothing I say is going to stop anyone from watching the show, just get ready for what I’m sure will be another season of hilarity for the show’s fans.

American Dad! (FOX) Airs Sundays 9:30pm, Premieres October 3rd
The final MacFarlane show on the FOX lineup, American Dad! kicks off it’s sixth season with its 100th episode. Like the two before it, the show has its following and they’re encouraged to tune in and see what the ass kicking spy dad is up to.

Brothers & Sisters (ABC) Airs Sundays 10pm, Premieres September 26th

The following synopsis is provided by Kevin Carr:

It has been a year after the devastating events of the car crash that took the life of one family member. More struggles follow Saul as he is learning to deal with being HIV positive, and the Walker family rebuilds their strength around him. Sarah becomes obsessed with her father’s mysterious business dealings, Nora gets a new opportunity outside of the home and a new child appears in the life of Kevin and Scotty.

CSI: Miami (CBS) Airs Sundays 10pm, Premieres October 3rd

The first and most successful of the two spin offs, CSI: Miami makes the jump to Sunday nights this year to kick off its ninth season. Fun fact, at some point this season the show will hit 200 episodes. Now, I’m an original CSI: man myself, but Miami has its charm. The fact is you can’t go wrong with David Caruso at the helm.

The Walking Dead (AMC) Airs Sundays 10pm, Premieres October 31st

The final show on our list is probably the most anticipated new series in geekdom, The Walking Dead. Based on the highly successful indie graphic novels, The Walking Dead is LOST meets 28 Days Later. Directed, written and produced by Frank Darabont, the show looks like it will either be a massive hit or a complete dud. But we’re all gonna have to wait until October to find out.

That concludes the FSR Sunday Night watch list. There’s clearly some great programming coming down the pipeline this year and it all begins tonight on HBO. Be sure to check back tomorrow for the Monday Night Watch List.
