‘Terra Nova’ Looks a Bit Like Pandora, The TV Show

This morning, Fox announced its 2010-2011 primetime schedule, adding to the onslaught of television news this week as networks release their upfronts, or shows that are already signed for next season. With the announcement came the first image from Fox’s show Terra Nova, which is produced by Steven Spielberg, Peter Chernin, Brannon Braga and David Fury. And as you can see above, it looks a lot like the show exists on Pandora, the fictional planet featured in James Cameron’s Avatar.

The show will launch mid-season, and will be an action-adventure that follows an ordinary family as they journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as part of a massive expedition to save the human race. Sort of like Land of the Lost, but on purpose and with a vast mission. Of course, we’ll reserve judgment for footage, which will surely be coming in late-Summer. Look for this show to be one of many trying to dazzle audiences, most likely at Comic-Con.
