The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair

Well, what do you know? Just when you thought the Chronicles of Narnia had exited the fantasy world movie game with 2010’s The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, here they come again with another adventure through the wardrobe doors. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair, the next book in the series (and by far its most superior, if you were to ask young-me) has been announced by the C.S. Lewis and Mark Gordon Companies as the fourth film. For those focusing on Lord of the Rings during their formative years, this volume is set directly after Dawn Treader in “the real world,” but decades later in Narnia. It focuses on two children (one is Eustace from Dawn Treader) who are summoned from England by Aslan to solve the mystery of the missing Prince Rilian. Like all Narnia stories, it’s not quite clear why English schoolchildren are the best people for this quest, but then again, this world’s highest authority is a talking Jesus-lion, so all bets are off the table.
