President Obama

What is Movie News After Dark? It’s a nightly collection of movie news, stories, articles, happenings and thingamajigs that is not interested in your excuses, just your unwavering loyalty. We begin tonight with a new look at Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins in Dark Shadows, courtesy of Hollywood Elsewhere’s ability to scan a page of the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair. It’s quite retro, somewhat chic, a lot emo and… oh, those bangs. Depp truly does have a bit of a Nosferatu thing going on, which is refreshing. At least he doesn’t sparkle.

What is Movie News After Dark? It’s all the movie news that’s fit to print. So, please, print it out and read it on your morning commute. The videos are especially effective that way. We begin this evening with four arms. This is just one of the ninety-seven images that Disney released in support of John Carter which means that if you make a flipbook of them, you’ve got a nice cheap version of the movie. Plus, John Carter wants you to read!

What is Movie News After Dark? It’s like watching CNN or the New York Times, but funnier and without all of the big words. It covers movie news every night in a way that no other movie news column set to run at 11p CST can. It was also far more punctual than President Obama’s speech tonight. So it’s got that going for it. Earlier this evening it was announced that Osama Bin Laden was killed by American forces. Great job to our fighting men and women. That guy was a real douche. Perhaps just as interesting, as Badass Digest points out, was the fact that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was aware of the news before anyone else. This is what happens when you kick ass in Fast Five and open with an $83 million dollar weekend.

During a recent Howard Stern appearance, comedian Sarah Silverman talked about her upcoming foray into the film world. Silverman is set to co-star in the Sarah Polley-directed film Take This Waltz alongside Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams. The IMDB plot synopsis of the film says that it’s, “A funny, bittersweet and heart-wrenching story about a woman struggling to choose between two different types of love.” But what IMDB fails to mention is that Silverman is going to be showing her goodies in it. Silverman told Stern that when she recently met President Obama and he asked her what she was working on next and she said, “I’m going to be naked in a movie,” to which Obama responded, “Oh, you’ll have to send me a copy of that.” This exchange proves two things: that Sarah Silverman is going to be naked in a movie, and that President Obama is pretty funny. Silverman fanboys shouldn’t get too excited about the prospect of seeing her onscreen nudity, however, she warns that, “It’s not sexual. It’s like a shower scene at the YMCA. So of course it’s not going to be well lit. I know people are excited to see [the nude scene], but they’re not excited to see it like [if it was] Megan Fox naked in a movie. They’re excited to see it [like when] Kathy Bates was naked in About Schmidt.” Okay, so probably I’ll be excited to check it out anyways. That Kathy Bates had some killer gams. Source: Worst […]
