Nick Abrey

Space Search

Why Watch? It might not have the epic nature of 2001: A Space Odyssey, but this short from Nick Abrey pulls off the rare feat of being simultaneously unsettling and delightful. Plus, it’s a fantastic example of how to make something interesting with very, very little money. It’s space travel on a budget, but it’s also hallmarked by intriguing off-center shots, eerie music and a fun destination. The filmic equivalent of the first bite of chocolate cake, it’s more than worth the minute it lasts.
