Linsey Stewart

Margo Lily Short Film

Why Watch? It becomes clear around the third minute of this excellent short from Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart why the act of planting a small tree in their backyard is so harrowing for this young couple. Beyond the frozen ground, beyond the difficulty of the act, there is something deeper. Quiet yet forcefully acted, and shot with a delicate precision, it’s a grand emotional pendulum that swings to both extremes. In simpler terms, it’s beautiful sweet, sweet sorrow.
