Lesbian Werewolf Flick ‘Jack and Diane’ Finally Pairs Two Ladies

August of last year, Bloody Disgusting reported that Ellen Page had been replaced by Alison Pill in Bradley Rust Gray’s indie venture, Jack and Diane.

The official synopsis goes: Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane’s charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack’s tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is giving her werewolf-like visions.

While I’ll never pass on Ellen Page lady makeouts, Alison Pill (Milk, Dan in Real Life) is no slouch as a replacement Diane – though I think Ellen has the superior acting chops. Ellen’s counterpart in Jack was to be played by fellow Juno cast member Olivia Thirlby.

That said, any imaginary Page vs Pill debates are out the window – and the rest may get a little confusing; try to follow.

In March, news was Alison Pill was out, and Juno Temple (The Other Boleyn Girl, Greenberg) was in as Diane, to co-star with the before mentioned Juno star Thirlby. However, word out of Bloody Disgusting this last week is Olivia Thirlby is no longer attached to the film – and Elvis’ Granddaughter, newcomer Riley Keough (The Runaways), is Gray’s new Jack.

Curious…

Here is hoping Bradley Rust Gray can stop the rotation of pretty faces long enough to actually put a film together.
