Dexter will stop at nothing to save the one person who he has ever been able to truly open up to. Deb will also make the final connections in order to bring down Jordan Chase for good, but what she finds is the one thing she would have never expected to see. Miami Metro will also discover the body of Stan Liddy at a harbor and Quinn in the prime suspect. Now it’s up to Dexter to decide if Quinn will go down for the murder he committed.

Things are about to go off in the sunny city of Miami, and it all leads up to the beginning of what will hopefully be a heart-stopping season finale. Dexter will be put into a situation that will force him to choose between keeping his secret a secret, or risk exposure from within the department… or so he thinks. Deb will also get one step closer to proving her vigilante theory, but not before LaGuerta can stonewall her from moving forward. And Lumen will be put into the one situation she has been trying to avoid for weeks.

But things take an unexpected turn when Dexter begins to have suspicions about the head honcho himself, Jordan Chase. Lumen will also get a phone call that she really doesn’t want, and before the day is over she’ll have to make a choice that will affect her life forever. Miami Metro is going to have to deal with the backlash from the club shootout, and Deb will come to a scary realization about herself. Liddy will also get one step closer to learning Dexter’s deep dark secret.

This week, Fat Guy Kevin Carr is like a runaway train filled with toxic chemicals. He could derail and explode at any moment. And it’s a good thing Tony Scott isn’t making a movie of his life because there aren’t enough whip pans and helicopter shots to capture his awesomeness. While he raps Scott’s knuckles with a railroad tie, he also gets giddy over the beautiful Rachel McAdams and gives some props to the Brothers Strause for the effects in Skyline. And then he explodes, and all the toxic chemicals threaten to wipe out a small town in Pennsylvania.

Dexter’s three worlds are about to collide is a cluster f**k of circumstance. And when he realizes what has happened, it is up to him and Lumen to point the cops in a direction that will allow them to continue on their current war path. The Homicide team with also come closer the Fuentes Brothers then they have ever been before. But by night’s end, this will be far from OK for at least one detective. Dexter & Lumen will also get one step closer to learning the identities of all of Lumen’s tormentors. And before the week is over, Lumen will take one step close to the edge of sanity. Quinn will also get one step closer to learning a truth he doesn’t want to know.

As far as Dexter is concerned Lumen has gone back home and is out of his life for good. Or so he thought until he gets a call from the damaged girl who is now in a panic after shooting a man in a warehouse. But things only get worse for Dexter because when he gets to the scene, the body is gone. Now Dexter and Lumen must find the man before he can alert the authorities. But that’s only the beginning of one of the longest nights of Dexter’s life. Deb and the rest of the homicide division will also get one step closer to nailing the Fuentes Brothers. And Batista will also try to smooth the waters of the stormy ocean that is his marriage.

It’s been a hard week for Miami’s resident serial killer. Most of Dexter’s hard ships come in the form of an oh, so sexy blond names Lumen. Lumen wants to kill the men that hurt her, but Dexter knows where the path leads and he just wants Lumen to leave Miami for good. Debra gets one step closer to the Fuentes brothers but where her lead takes her, will send her partner on a tail spin of disgust. Batista will also become suspicious of LaGuerta’s recent activities. Her sneaking around will finally become to much for him and what he finds is something he could have never expected. Quinn will enlist the help of an old friend to assist in his “investigation” of Dexter.

It has not been a good week to be Dexter Morgan, because after striking down his latest victim, he discovers there was a witness to the crime. Now Dexter has that witness locked up in an abandoned house and is questioning his next move. At the same time, he must also convince the nanny that he’s a reliable parent and he has no intention of bringing extra strain to an already difficult job. Debra will also be faced with a dilemma that will effect her to her emotional core in what will likely be the beginning of a downward spiral. Quinn will also get one step closer to uncovering the truth behind the man known as Kyle Butler.

We begin this episode right where we left off last week, I.E. Dexter is still hunting Boyd Fowler. But this time he’s going to put his long awaiting plan into motion to being his healing process, only things don’t go at all how Dexter planned. At the same time Dexter will also be on another hunt, a hunt to find a Nanny for Harrison. By the end, Dexter’s true feelings about Harrison’s state of mind will be revealed. IA will also drop a bomb shell on LaGuarta that could leave the department in shambles. And Quinn with the not so cooperative help of the FBI, will get one stop closer to confirming his suspicions about Kyler Butler.

We join Dexter immediately following the events of the season four finale. The biggest dilemma you ask? Well, when the police come upon Dexter and the blood stained Harrison, Dexter udders the words “it was me.” Now everyone including those close to him, are looking at Dexter as a possible suspect. At the same time, Debra begins to once again have feelings for Quinn and one can only wonder where that will lead, or more importantly, how much clothing will be removed. We also learn the origins of Dexter’s relationship with Rita. And so begins season 5 of Dexter.
