A week after this column exploded with over 2,000 words on some 15+ releases, we get some downtime. It’s difficult to say whether it’s the slim pickings on the release schedule or the fact that there were several titles that weren’t received for review. Either way, this should be brief.
Merry Christmas, James Cameron! Customers packed the cinemas bigtime to see Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Sherlock and Dr. Watson — but mainly Avatar, which repeated its big haul from last week to earn $75 million for a second weekend in a row topping the box office.
