Mann, Bosworth Say ‘Goodnight Moon’

By  · Published on April 22nd, 2010

In what will surely lead to some hilarious search engine results from parents attempting to find out information about the beloved children’s book, The Hollywood Reporter is Hollywood Reporting that Leslie Mann and Kate Bosworth have both signed on for a drama called Goodnight Moon.

The film already has Juno Temple (Year One) and Annasophia Robb playing teenagers who head for Los Angeles and get into trouble with local street toughs played by newcomer Chris Coy and Kyle Gallner (who you can see next week in A Nightmare on Elm Street).

Mann will play the mother of one of the impetuous girls.

The unknown here is that it’s the directorial debut of Elgin James – a product of the Sundance Lab who used to be in an anti-gang gang called Friends Stand United. The silver lining to that unknown is that Jamie Patricof (who produced both Half Nelson and the acclaimed Blue Valentine) is producing.

What do you think?
