JJ Abrams Directing Star Trek

According to new reports, this may be the full, official title of the J.J. Abrams Star Trek sequel. With tomorrow celebrating the 46th anniversary of Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek, it might make sense for Paramount to do some sort of release. A teaser, a title, a picture of J.J. Abrams doing his percussion solo on a film canister. Something fun, as production is still in full swing. The rumored title comes from Coming Soon, who have pointed out that Paramount has used the service Markmonitor to register domains for www.startrekintodarkness.com and www.startrekintodarknessmovie.com. This is the same service that registered the domain for G.I. Joe: Retaliation (yes, that’s still a movie). For now we wait and see for official word, but it’s worth talking about.

What do you think of Star Trek Into Darkness as a title for the sequel?
