Beast, Xavier and Wolverine Get Retro in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Photo

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Bryan Singer has been very generous during the production of X-Men: Days of Future Past about letting us normal people see behind the scenes photos of the coolest aspects of the film. From tweeting a sneak peek at a full-sized sentinel, to even showing glimpses of character concepts (we’re very into X-Men), Singer is all about letting fans know what they’re getting with this movie.

And now, production has wrapped on Future Past, giving us the first official image from the film that did not come from behind the scenes. Hank McCoy/Beast in his human form (Nicholas Hoult), Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) are represented front and center in all their time traveling, ’70s glory as they look prepared to face down an unpictured enemy. Or, they’re posing for the cover of the best album ever recorded.

All we can hope is that Singer will be as enthusiastic with the official stills and post-production images as he was with his behind the scenes features. There’s still a long road until May 23, 2014.

In childhood, Samantha had a Mary Katherine Gallagher-esque flair for the dramatic, as well as the same penchant for Lifetime original movies. And while she can still quote the entire monologue from A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story, her tastes in film have luckily changed. During an interview, director Tommy Wiseau once called her a “good reporter, but not that intimidating if we’re being honest.” She once lived in Chinatown and told her neighbor Jake to “forget it” so many times that he threatened to stop talking to her.
