Jason Sudekis Olivia Wilde

It turns out that Relanxious isn’t just an obnoxious sounding made up word, it’s also the name of a new romantic comedy. Written and to be directed by Christopher Storer, Relanxious is the story of a woman suffering from extreme anxiety problems and a man who is an agoraphobic developing a relationship over the telephone. You see, instead of going out on dates, they just talk about what the dates they would be going on if they weren’t nuts.

If that sounds boring to you, maybe the fact that Olivia Wilde is going to be playing the gal and Jason Sudeikis will be playing the guy is enough to entice. And if that doesn’t work, perhaps the fact that Brie Larson will be playing the Wilde character’s sister and Fred Armisen will be playing the Sudeikis character’s only friend will do the trick.

Still not sold? You’re a tough nut to crack. Look, this thing isn’t just going to be a series of phone conversations. We’re not talking about a sequel to Phone Booth here. Eventually the relationship is going to develop to the point where the leads have to overcome their afflictions and meet in the outside world. There’s some real drama there. And look at all these pretty ladies and charming fellas they’ve hired; they’re doing the work, they’re not slackers. [Deadline Fairfax]
