Watch: ‘Kick-Ass 2’ Hits Comic-Con with a Mother F%&*^r of a Trailer

Kick-Ass 2

Didn’t make it into Hall H this afternoon to see the Universal Pictures presentation? Don’t worry about it. Not even in San Diego? Not even a problem. Universal has released this 4-minute extended NSFW Kick-Ass 2 trailer online, fresh off its Comic-Con debut. It features a much better look at the tone, the action and the personalities of the Jeff Wadlow-directed affair. It does a much better job off offering a tone closer to that of the Matthew Vaughan-directed predecessor and spouts off some choice language. One can’t help but think that it’s going to be a foul-mouthed affair, mostly considering the name of the film’s villain.

The first few looks at Kick-Ass 2 have featured a number of rough spots, including seemingly unfinished effects, minimal dialogue and very little story. This one brings it back and tells us what the sequel is all about. Like Batman and Robin, Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) are still cleaning up the streets of their town, inspiring a number of other masked heroes to do the same. Of course, with any sort of hero inspiration story, there’s always some escalation. With superheroes — such as Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes — there must come supervillains. Enter The Mother Fucker, which returns Christopher Mintz-Plasse to the franchise as Kick-Ass’ main adversary. He’s bringing a new rogues gallery this time, as well. On the whole, it looks like fun.

For more Kick-Ass 2 fun, Universal has also launched a Kick-Ass Photo Bomb App on iOS and Android, as well as the following promotion:
